Foundation Friday: Macmillan Cancer Support

Meeting New Horizons Macmillan Survivor Support Service is proud to be working to support people affected by Cancer.

Doncaster Rovers Foundation has met the quality assurance criteria for the Survivor Support Service and has been awarded this important quality mark.  This means that people affected by cancer can be confident that when they are referred to the Foundation for support, or to get involved in activities, they will be dealing with people who are aware of, and able to meet their needs.

Research has shown that people living with, and affected by cancer become isolated from their communities, our Survivor Friendly Organisation’s scheme is all about making it easy for people to get involved with organisations such as the Rovers Foundation during and after their journey.

Maintaining a degree of ‘normal’ living is a critical part of supporting mental well being of people affected by cancer.

Doncaster Rovers Foundation are offering survivors, their families, and carers a wide range of activities that people of all ages can access, confident that the survivor friendly staff will be there to welcome and support them.
