Rovers to 'don' change strip for Saturday friendly.
The Doncaster Rovers 2014/15 home kit is on sale NOW!And who better to model the new kit than current WBA, and former IBF, Champion of the World, Doncaster’s Jamie McDonnell?
McDonnell recently followed in the footsteps of his boyhood club by winning at Wembley where he scooped the coveted WBA World Bantamweight in front of over 80,000 fight fans in London.
The Hatfield-born fighter, who had won his first world title when he defeated Julio Ceja at the Keepmoat Stadium in May 2013, equalled the feat when he stopped Tabtimdaeng Na Rachawatw while on the undercard of the heavily anticipated Carl Froch – George Groves bill.
McDonnell, who will lead Doncaster RLFC out against Sheffield Eagles on Sunday at the Keepmoat, sported the new shirt which Rovers will wear against Rotherham on Saturday (3pm).
Rovers’ distinctive red and white hoops takes a slight twist thanks to our kit manufacturer Avec while long-term sponsors One Call Insurance and Stoneacre Motor Group remain.
