Rovers take on Millers before Dons face Eagles this weekend.

Doncaster Rovers and Doncaster RLFC are set for an action packed weekend with local pride at stake as both teams face respective counterparts from across South Yorkshire at Keepmoat Stadium.

This Saturday, Rovers take on Rotherham United in their final pre-season friendly before the season officially kicks off against Yeovil Town on Saturday 9 August.  Tickets for the friendly are priced at £10 adults and £5 for children aged 16 or under.

Meanwhile the Dons are continue their crusade and attempts to finish second in the Kingstone Press Championship as they face Sheffield Eagles on Sunday, kick off 3pm, with tickets priced at £13 for one adult and one junior ticket combined or £3 for under 16’s as separate available on 01302 762576.

To celebrate the fantastic achievements of the Dons so far this year, Doncaster Rovers will be donning their brand new away kit this Saturday and playing in blue.  Dons players Pasqualle Dunn and Mike Kelly will also be at the game, taking part in a series of activities.

Meanwhile as part of the Dons pre-match build up on Sunday, Doncaster born Boxing Champion, Jamie McDonnell will be in attendance, leading the team out and bringing his Championship belt for unique photograph opportunities.

The Dons will also be kitting out in an exclusive special edition commemorative jersey in remembrance of Liam Maughan. Rifleman Maughan, born in Doncaster, died from wounds received as a result of an arms fire which occurred near Sangin, in Helmand province, Afghanistan at the age of 18. A donation from the match proceeds will also be made to The Rifles charity.
