31 July 2014

New Doncaster Rovers signing Curtis Main has spoken of his delight at joining the club.

The striker has joined from Middlesbrough on a three-year deal as part of the deal that saw James Husband join the Teesside outfit.

Main is looking forward to getting started with Paul Dickov’s side and hopes to be able to fire Rovers up the Sky Bet League One table.

“The past few days have been a bit slow waiting for the deal to go through, but now it has I am glad to be here,” said Main.

“As soon as Doncaster had shown an interest I spoke to my agent and I was really keen to come down for talks.

“I have really enjoyed what I have been involved in since I have been here and I am looking forward to getting on with the job now.

“I am at an age now where I really need to be playing a lot of football week in, week out and hopefully this is the place to do it.

“I like to think I am quite strong, quick, powerful and energetic, hopefully there will be lot’s of goals to come.”
