Paul Dickov on moving forward.

21 July 2014

The manager speaks about where Doncaster Rovers goes from here following the failed takeover bid by former chairman John Ryan and One Direction's Louis Tomlinson.

As the team returned from their pre-season training camp in Portugal, Paul Dickov spoke exclusively with Doncaster Rovers Official Website on the latest developments at Keepmoat Stadium.

“Obviously the takeover bid has collapsed and that’s disappointing for both John and Louis, however no one at the club is dwelling, we will move on and continue to work hard to improve the team for the new season,” he said.

“This is a situation no-one expected to be in at this point of July but Terry, Gavin and I are meeting on Tuesday to go through the budget for next season.

“The players we’ve been speaking to are aware of the latest developments and we’re continuing our dialogue with them.

“Our fans have shown incredible patience already this summer and, while the takeover and its late collapse have delayed our ability to conclude transfer business, I know that all of the owners, Gavin and myself share the same aim for next season, which is a push for promotion back to the Championship.

“I’m sure our fans patience will be rewarded.”
