Rovers could make move for stopper.
Ross Turnbull could make a return to Doncaster Rovers according to Paul Dickov.
The popular goalkeeper departed the Keepmoat Stadium during the summer following the expiration of his contract, but there could be a route back for the former Chelsea and Middlesbrough man.
“Hopefully Ross might come out to Portugal with us,” said Dickov who was pleased to have got a result against Bradford Park Avenue where trialists Peter Clarke, James Bailey, Elliott Kebbie and Jon Otsemobor featured.
Twenty-nine year old Turnbull made 28 appearances for Rovers last season as he established himself as first choice between the sticks before injury curtailed his season.
“It’s a case of ‘watch this space’ after the 18th,” furthered Dickov, who takes his side to Portugal next week in an effort to step up preparations for the forthcoming League 1 season.
Rovers take on Lincoln City at Sincil Bank (3pm) on Saturday.
