Brown Ready to go again

5 June 2014

Striker who overcame injuries wants to help heal Rovers.

Rovers striker Chris Brown has said that he is looking to shake off the disappointment of last season’s relegation as soon as possible and go again.

Brown, who was speaking after receiving yet more awards due to his own impressive season said, “It wasn’t nice, obviously, no one really saw it coming. That was the thing; we got sucked in with seven games to go.

“We’ve got to look forward now, we can’t do anything about it and we’ve got a great set of lads and the gaffer will be bringing some top quality players in and we’ll give it a good go.”

The big number 9 notched nine goals last term to take his tally to 20 over the last two seasons in what has been his most profitable spell since returning to the Club on a permanent basis.

“I can’t really put my finger on it (why fitness problems are a thing of the past), obviously with Ben Rome (fitness coach) coming to the Club, that’s gone hand in hand and I do a lot of work with him in the gym including prehab stuff and trying to look after myself and it’s worked well.”
