Front man joins Ewood Park outfit.
Doncaster Rovers striker Chris Brown has left the Club to join Sky Bet Championship side Blackburn Rovers, the Club can announce.
The big forward, who notched nine goals in 43 appearances last season, has activated a clause in his current contract and follows MARK DUFFY in departing the Keepmoat Stadium.
Rovers permanently signed Brown from Preston North End three years ago and he made just seven league starts in his first season, while Dean Saunders’ men were relegated.
Instrumental in Rovers’ promotion during the 12/13 season, Brown averaged a goal every four games but despite his goals last season, was unable to keep Paul Dickov’s side in the Championship.
Brown was voted player of the year by a variety of people and leaves the Club – having scored 34 goals in two spells – with the best wishes of everyone connected with Doncaster Rovers.
The well publicised move was finally announced by Blackburn today and the thoughts of Doncaster manager Paul Dickov will follow on www.doncasterroversfc.co.uk shortly.
