Doncaster Rovers manager Paul Dickov spoke to Rovers Player ahead of his side’s trip to Nottingham Forest on Saturday in the Sky Bet Championship.
Following the 5-0 defeat at AFC Bournemouth, Rovers bounced back with successive home victories against Huddersfield Town and Watford.
Speaking about the wins Dickov said: “To get six points from the last two games was exactly what we wanted after the Bournemouth defeat.
“I was pleased in the manner of Tuesday’s win against Watford, because the boys kept going until the end and showed a lot of character and belief.
“It was important get back to back league wins for the first time this season, the aim was to get six points and I am delighted we have got them."
Rovers head to the City Ground to face a Nottingham Forest side without a win in six matches and Dickov admitted his sides away form must improve with only a solitary away win at Sheffield Wednesday this season:
“We go into the Nottingham Forest match full of confidence and getting those two wins gives us a bit of breathing space.
“We have to sort our away form out on Saturday, because that is something that has not been good enough.”
Despite moving seven points clear of the bottom three, after Tuesday’s dramatic win against Watford, the Rovers manager was quick to guard against complacency, insisting the club must push on following the good results:
“If you lose a couple of games, as we have seen already this season, you can get sucked right back into the relegation zone and we are very wary of that.
“What we want to do now, in these last 11 matches, is pick up as many points as we can to try and extend the gap between us and the teams below us.”
