Rovers to confirm 'retained' players in a week's time.
As Doncaster Rovers begin to prepare for life in League 1, the club can confirm they will be announcing the retained list on Friday 16th May.
The deadline for submitting the retained list is Saturday 17th May and both the club and manager Paul Dickov wish to use all the time available to establish the best way forward, following the clubs relegation to League 1 in the last minutes of the 2013/14 season. The decisions being made will be aimed at giving Rovers the best chance of an immediate return to the Championship and ensuring the club have a strong squad for next season.
Whilst many decisions may be made before this time, the club will not formally announce the list until Friday 16 May allowing all options to be assessed in full.
The club however can confirm the departure of Jordan Binns, Evan Finnegan, Chris Whincop and Joshua Meade, none of whom have been offered a new contract for next season.
