Enda Stevens' Rovers Return

6 November 2014

Talented full back makes Keepmoat comeback.

Rovers are delighted to confirm that Enda Stevens has re-joined the club on an initial one month loan deal until 8th December.

The Aston Villa full back arrives at Keepmoat Stadium having made fourteen appearances in all competitions for Paul Dickov’s side last season.

Dickov said: "He’s come in, signed the forms and we’re just waiting on Football League approval.

"It’s a good fit; it's what we said with Sam [Johnstone] who knows the place and Andy Butler who had games, so we’re delighted to have him back.

"It helps [knowing the surrounds], he knows the players, the club, myself and what we’re like plus the fact he’s been getting games under his belt means he’s not playing catch up."

Since departing Rovers, the 24 year old Dubliner has been on an emergency loan with League 2 Northampton Town, scoring one goal in four appearances with the Cobblers.

Stevens will go straight in to the squad to face Weston Super Mare in the FA Cup first round at the weekend.
