Match winner's view on Rochdale win!

Theo Robinson spoke to www.doncasterroversfc.co.uk after coming off the bench and scoring the decisive goal against Rochdale with his first touch and the Jamaican forward claimed: “It could have been 7-1!

The 84th minute substitute leapt highest in the penalty area to nod past Conrad Logan and end his barren run.

“You hope [to be the hero] but the team played exceptionally well and created lots of chances so it was a bonus for me as I haven’t scored for a while,” Robinson said.

“We were a bit unlucky and I was thinking “Is one of them going to go in?” and luckily I’ve come on and it’s gone in so I’m happy.”

Robinson played the full ninety minutes in midweek against Weston Super Mare and said that, despite being awarded a goal which was actually Curtis Main’s, lethargy wasn’t a factor in the Dale win.

“Weston was my first 90 minutes for a while and to help contribute to a win was good. The long travelling we didn’t use as an excuse and today we've shown what we can do,” he said.

“The gaffer was telling me to warm up and I knew that with five minutes to go I had to be sharp and it’s just happened to drop to me.”

On his unique celebration, Robinson commented: “I was just messing around and trying to dodge my teammates, it's been up the sleeve!”
