For the fourth year running Club Doncaster benefits from the prestigious event that is the ‘Business Cup’
Club Doncaster would like to thank all those involved in the 2014 Business Cup, with special thanks going to David Plant, Garry Rogers and the Crown Hotel Bawtry.Each year, businesses create an event called ‘The Crown Hall Hotel Bawtry Doncaster Business Cup’ and contribute £250 each to a chosen charity. They then take part in a football match at the Keepmoat Stadium against each other in a bid to win the Business Cup.
The annual event which involves a number of local businesses in Doncaster, aims to raise awareness and funds for a chosen charity. This year’s chosen organistation was ‘Firefly Cancer Awareness and Support’. Based in Sheffield, Firefly supports patients and their family by providing them with transport to their treatment clinics.
Club Doncaster would like to say a special thank you to David Plant, Garry Rodgers and the Crown Hotel for organising the event.
Thanks must also go to One Call Insurance who were official sponsors of both teams that took part.
At last week’s presentation dinner Club Doncaster Foundation was also presented with a cheque for £1,200 which will go towards their schools programme, aiming to engage more Doncaster school children to participate in an active lifestyle.
Chief Executive of Club Doncaster Foundation, Liam Scully said; “We would like to thank everyone who took part for this kind donation. It will be a big help for our school programme as we work to encourage more children into an active lifestyle.”
