DRFC: The price of football

15 October 2014

Club welcomes annual survey which compares the costs of watching the beautiful game.

Following the annual release of the BBC's 'price of football survey', the club were pleased to see that they provided one of the cheapest season tickets in the South Yorkshire area at a price of £299.

Gavin Baldwin, Chief Executive of Doncaster Rovers said, “We know that in League 1 some of the stadiums our fans will experience will not be the same as the supporters of visiting clubs to Keepmoat Stadium.

Therefore it is pleasing to see that, in terms of our match day prices, we are comparable to the rest of the division despite offering better quality facilities than most.”

As always, supporters are reminded that the survey isn’t always a true reflection of the nature of packages offered by football teams.  For example the survey doesn’t mention the club’s £1 per child family offer, available at every single Doncaster Rovers league match within our family area.  The survey also doesn’t take into account our membership scheme, which discounts prices further from those identified.

As part of In Rovers We Trust, we will continue to consult with supporters about our pricing structure and work as hard as possible to ensure the entire community of Doncaster has the opportunity to watch their hometown team.
