Rovers midfielder impresses for country, as well as club.

Dean Furman put in another man of the match performance last night as he represented his country once again, playing the full ninety minutes of South Africa’s stalemate with Congo in Polokwane.

The Bafana Bafana midfielder, who has made eleven appearances in all competitions, has seen his national team rise to the top of their Africa Cup of Nations qualifying group and, following a goalless draw, they are on the brink of reaching the tournament in Morocco 2015.

The unbeaten South Africans can book their place in the finals should they win against either Sudan or Nigeria in the next round of fixtures to take place between 15th – 19th November.

Former Spurs loanee Bongani Khumalo, who made 32 appearances for Paul Dickov’s side last season, also featured in the match.
