Kyle Keen for White Rose Win

Winger hoping to make permanent impression on former loan club.

Kyle Bennett has said that Rovers should be “pumped up” for their first Yorkshire derby of the season when they face Bradford City on Saturday.

Twenty-four year old Bennett spent five months on loan with the Bantams last term but is hoping his parent club will prosper at Valley Parade.

“We should be pumped up for every game and we'll go to Bradford looking to bring three points home,” he said.

“We believe we can gain three points because (against MK Dons) we've shown character rather than roll over against a side which will be up there towards the end of the season.”

Bennett, who notched one goal in eighteen appearances for Phil Parkinson’s men, has three goals in eight starts this term and returned to the starting XI to face the Dons at the weekend and was content with the point which the hosts gained.

“We’re positive, we've gone from two losses to a draw, which is an improvement so the reaction has to be positive because the performance and result were positive and you can’t look at it any other way,” he said.

“I just try to keep it simple to start off with and then take risks as the game goes on but I’m happier with the team’s performance than anything else.

“We showed we are together and have got passion because we were willing to put a foot in and help each other.”
