Doncaster Rovers would like to say a huge thank you to our Rovers Alliance members who have continued to help support the Doncaster Rovers youth development system.
It is because of your help and the funds that you put into the club along with the dedication of Paul Dickov, Paul Wilson and countless other staff that we are able to run such a successful youth setup.For the third year in succession, Doncaster Rovers are proud to have signed five new players for the 2014/15 season, who have each progressed through our youth development system and earned professional contracts for the Doncaster Rovers first team.
The boys are now enjoying the benefits of training with Paul Dickov and the first team at the Cantley Park Training Ground.
As a thank you to our members for helping to make this happen, a series of prize draws will be conducted, giving our Alliance members the chance to win some items ‘From the Locker Room’.
Doncaster Rovers are delighted to confirm our first prize up for grabs is James Coppinger’s signed football boots and the winner is long standing Alliance member Ian Saltmarsh of Sprotbrough.
In addition, Ian has also won 2 Premier Club hospitality tickets to our fixture against MK Dons on the 25th October.
“It’s a real surprise to tell you the truth, I was a bit shocked,” said Ian.
“You’ve got to be in it to win it and it’s fantastic to win Copps’ boots when he was the best player for us last season, looking the same this season and chasing that important appearance record.
“It’s good to see the local lads coming through as it’s what the club needs – the boots will go to my dad who’s been a football fan all his life.”
With the annual £10,000 jackpot draw approaching, 10 lucky Alliance members will be selected at random in November and will each stand a chance of scooping the life changing 10k prize.
The 10 Alliance finalists will participate in the draw, on the pitch, at our fixture against Gillingham on the 13th December. Make sure you are part of the Alliance for the chance to win £10,000 courtesy of Doncaster Rovers.
