GOLFING business people will be in full swing at the annual Doncaster Rovers Golf Day later this month.Taking place at Mid Yorkshire Golf Club at Darrington on Tuesday 16th September, teams of four from around the region will come together for the yearly tournament.
But this year it will be a real game of two halves, as the teams descend on the Keepmoat Stadium in the evening to enjoy the presentation and match hospitality, including a two course meal, before the SkyBet League One fixture between Doncaster Rovers and Crawley Town.
Rovers Head of Commercial, Andrew Whitham, said that with a range of local businesses already signed up, everybody was looking forward to the tee off.
“It is one of the highlights in our commercial calendar and we are looking forward to returning to Mid Yorkshire Club with whom we enjoy a very good relationship.
“The event is always well supported and with more than ten four-ball teams already in for the event we are expecting a busy day.”
Doncaster businesses such as One Call Insurance, Stoneacre Motor Group, Smith Craven, RH Recruiting, Westfield Health, Dearneside Fabrications, PKR and Black Diamond Security will be in attendance at the event that combines golf and football entertainment. Prizes on the day will be provided by American Golf.
Andrew explained that the Commercial team was looking forward to showing what the club has to offer.
“In the past we have carried out the meal and prize presentation at the golf course, but with us having the fixture against Crawley Town we saw an opportunity to do it a little different this time round.
“All the teams will join us at the Keepmoat Stadium in the evening for a 2 course meal and prize presentations before watching the Rovers game.
“It will be a jam packed day that represents great value for money and we are eagerly anticipating the event."
The day will include:
- Four-ball team
- Bacon Sandwiches with tea and coffee on arrival at the Mid Yorkshire Golf Course
- 18 Hole Stableford Competition
- A range of great prizes
- Presentation at the Keepmoat Stadium
- Match Hospitality at Rovers v Crawley Town including a two course meal, prime directors seats, programme and team sheet
- Man of the match presentations in the lounge post match
