New SLO Appointed by DRFC

14 April 2015

The Club would like to welcome the newest member of the team...

Sheila Lynch has been appointed as a new Rovers Supporter Liaison Officer (SLO).

Sheila will work with our current SLO Dean Medcalf to further enhance the relationship between the club and our supporters.

Many of you may know Sheila already from her role as a Stadium Angel on match days, a role that she has performed brilliantly for the last two years.

Sheila has supported Rovers for over 40 years after moving down from Scotland.

She has represented Scotland in hockey and has worked for many years as a classroom assistant taking on responsibilities for the school sports delivery whilst there. Sheila also volunteers with her local church and the Youth Offending Service and can’t wait to start in the role, “I’m really excited to learn more about our fans, the club and look forward to meeting everyone. The club means everything to me”.

Dean added, “Sheila will be such a great asset to the SLO team, she is so approachable and is a real people person, her passion for the Rovers is immense.”

The SLO’s provide a now vital link between the fans and the club and provide a warm and friendly welcome to visiting supporters to Keepmoat Stadium.

Look out for Sheila on match days, she will be based in the East Stand and you can catch her in and around the stadium pre-match.
