PREVIEW: Orient v ROVERS

14 April 2015

Tuesday 14th April 2015 (7:45pm), Brisbane Road, Sky Bet League One.

Doncaster Rovers head to the capital on Tuesday night looking to add some much needed impetus to their League 1 campaign.

Rovers have picked up two victories from their previous 11 games and will come up against a Leyton Orient side desperate to preserve their third tier status.

The O’s are currently clear of the drop zone on goal difference only and drew in a relegation six pointer with Crewe at the weekend.

For Rovers, the prospect of reaching the top six seems to have passed for this season as Paul Dickov’s men lie 10 points from the play offs with only 15 to play for.

The south Yorkshire side have taken two wins and two draws from their last four visits to the East End and have not lost at Brisbane Road since an 8-0 demolition in the ill fated 97/98 season.

The pair met in September at the Keepmoat Stadium with the visitors running out 2-0 victors thanks to strikes from Jay Simpson and Doncaster-born striker Darius Henderson.

Current Orient goalkeeper Gary Woods was between the sticks the last time Rovers visited the Orient and he was on the winning side as Dean Saunders’ team coasted to a 2-0 victory thanks to first half strikes from David Cotterill and Iain Hume.
