At a football club, pre-season is arguably the busiest time of the year and a chance for us to look to improve upon everything we do.
Here is a list of some of the improvements made across the club, the rest can be found in Saturday’s brand new Matchday Magazine, Red and White:• A greater playing budget for Paul Dickov.
• No distracting buy outs.
• Major renovation work on the main pitch with the aim of making it softer, faster and flatter.
• Irrigation system fitted to the training pitch to allow the youth, development and first team squad’s access all year round.
• All pitches at Cantley Park have been renovated.
• Changing rooms, canteen and other buildings have been decorated.
• New laundry facilities and equipment have been installed.
• The home changing rooms have been renovated and decorated to suit the playing staffs requirements.
• Further investment in the club analyst equipment.
• Club Doncaster Legends lounge refurbished and rebranded hospitality lounges
• New Premier Club product.
• New furniture, features and carpets fitted all 16 hospitality boxes.
• New menu in the hospitality areas.
• Soccer Centre major refurbishments to resurface the 5-a-side cages.
• All main automatic doors across the stadium have been improved and renovated.
• A new improved CCTV system across the stadium is now in place.
• CD Foundation now providing the matchday ball boys.
• CD Foundation providing all support staff for the family area.
• Increased engagement and ticket offers with local schools through CD Foundation.
• Reciprocal agreements in place with away clubs to encourage more junior fans to attend away games..
• Doncaster Rovers are now the sponsor of the Doncaster and District Senior Football League
• Investment in a new PA system for music and artists outside the Belle Vue Bar before and after games.
• Donny Dog now has a matchday schedule to engage with younger fans.
• Improved food and beverage offerings on the concourse and also in the Belle Vue Bar including Yorkshire Caviar (pie, gravy and peas) and two pints for £10.
• The matchday programme has been renamed RAW (Red and White) Magazine to have a wider appeal.
• Greater coverage of unique stories exclusive to RAW magazine.
• From the Bury game RAW will be a “perfect bound” product.
• 6 pages of RAW are dedicated to our junior fans, plus a 2 page poster.
• New Club Doncaster branding has gone up around the stadium, including the new kits and the #MyLocalTeam campaign.
• Season Tickets include #MyLocalTeam branding involving fans from the campaign video.
• Black Bank fan initiative working with the Club to increase the atmosphere in the South Stand and across the stadium.
• Matchday music playlist created by the fans and players to improve the match build up.
• Rovers Player is now in HD and offers a better user support system.
• Exclusive footage generated for Rovers Player users i.e.: #RandomRovers150 .
• Improved website content and branding ensuring consistency.
