12 December 2015

Popular defender signs on for more with Rovers.

Doncaster Rovers Football Club are proud to announce that Cedric Evina has penned a new two and a half year contract which will see him remain at Keepmoat Stadium until the summer of 2018.

Evina joined Rovers in 2014 and has featured 26 times this season already with his 50th appearance for the club coming in last week’s win over Cambridge United.

Upon signing fans favourite Evina said: “I am really enjoying my time here at Rovers; Darren (Ferguson) is a great manager to work for and he has helped me start enjoying my football again.

“The fans have been great this season and I enjoy playing in front of them every week. There is a real buzz about the place now and once again I want to thank you all for making me feel part of this club.”

Darren Ferguson said: “We are absolutely delighted with Cedric signing a new deal, it shows exactly the direction the club need to go, and are heading in. To get Cedric tied down to this club for 2 1/2 years is fantastic for us all. He is a fans favourite and I would like to thank the board and Gavin Baldwin for making this happen so quickly.”
