Rovers Wrap Up Lund Long Term

Defender Mitchell Lund signs long term contract extension at Keepmoat Stadium.

Doncaster Rovers can today announce that Mitchell Lund has put pen to paper on a contract extension with the Football Club until the summer of 2019.

Nineteen year old Lund has come through the ranks at the Keepmoat Stadium and made the transition from the Doncaster Rovers academy, have featured heavily under Darren Ferguson.

Lund, who follows in the footsteps of Cedric Evina in committing his long term future to the club, has made 18 senior appearances, scoring one goal.

Lund said: “I’m buzzing as my future is at this club and I can’t really ask for much more. The hard works starts here; I can’t let it go to my head!”

“It’s great, my confidence is right up there now so I just need to take that on to the pitch and perform and hopefully I can stay at the club as long as I can.

“The gaffer believes in me so I need to prove it to him, the fans, my family and my teammates.”
