Ray Dunning Scholarship Fund Relocates

30 January 2015

Charity in the name of fan Ray Dunning, moves to Rovers' home.

We are delighted to announce that The Ray Dunning Scholarship Fund will soon be operating from the offices at Keepmoat Stadium. As an official charity partner the Club and Angela feel that this will help bring the organisations closer together as Angela continues the charity's excellent work across the region.

Angela said, “It’s lovely that the Club and I have come to an agreement which means that I now have some office space here. The Club is close to my heart, and it feels right that we are now operating from the stadium. I would like to thank Gavin Baldwin and his team for making this happen.”

“The Club are heading in the right direction on and off the pitch, and to be spending more time here in addition to my Saturdays in the South Stand is just perfect."

Angela is a life long Rovers season ticket holder as was her late husband Ray. As a mark of respect the Club will be reserving their two seats in the South Stand, Ray's will be marked with a commemorative plaque. Angela added: “For the Club to to make our seats the only reserved seats in the South Stand means a lot to me and to have a plaque on the seat where Ray once sat is a lovely gesture.

"I think what the Club are doing with the unreserved seating is a positive step forward in creating what we once had at Belle Vue. I think it will really help the atmosphere here and that is what we all want.

"I can’t wait to hear the South Stand like it should be with the drum and a more vocal support driving the boys on the pitch. It’s a real positive for the Club."
