Middleton in for more

27 June 2015

Development captain Harry Middleton speaks having signed up for two more years.

Doncaster Rovers central midfielder joins youngsters Mitchell Lund and Billy Whitehouse ins signing a two year contract with the club.

“I’m really, really happy and really looking forward to the next two years,” he said.

"I just hope I can kick on now."

The highly rated midfielder was given the captain’s armband by Rob Jones last season and led the Development squad to a second place finish in the Final Third Development League.

“Being captain has really helped me progress, especially knowing that Rob Jones has the confidence in me to give me that responsibility.

“It gives me a more important role in the team and it’s something that I’ve really enjoyed. It’s boosted my confidence too.

“Rob [Jones] is a massive inspiration when you look at him both on and off the pitch. If me or anyone can do anywhere near what he’s done then that would be brilliant.

“Personal goals now for me have to be to try and get in the first team as much as possible. I want to stamp my mark on the club and hope that the manager picks me for the team, and I’ll go from there."
