On Saturday 27th June Doncaster celebrated National Armed Forces Day in recognition and remembrance of the service given to the nation by so many Forces personnel.
A town centre parade, followed by an official Salute outside the Mansion House, culminated in a day of activity devoted to our Services personnel in Sir Nigel Gresley Square.
Amongst the many civic leaders and current serving Forces personnel were two faces very familiar to Rovers’ supporters.
Ben Parkinson and William Oaklands were both very proud to be in attendance on this special occasion, and in a different vein are both very proud to be devoted season ticket holders of Doncaster Rovers.
It goes without saying that Doncaster Rovers Football Club and all supporters are proud indeed of Ben, William and all those who have previously served or are currently serving in our Armed Forces.
