Rovers to host fantastic four in pre-season.
Tickets have today gone on sale for Doncaster Rovers pre season friendlies against Sunderland, Nottingham Forest, Middlesbrough and Wolves and are available for purchase HERE.Paul Dickov’s side will face the quartet in one of the most eagerly anticipated pre-seasons in many a year with plenty of high quality teams visiting Keepmoat Stadium.
Dick Advocaat’s Black Cats avoided the Premier League drop – bringing the affable Dutchman to tears – and will be able to call upon internationals such as Steven Fletcher, John O’Shea and former England hitman Jermain Defoe when they visit South Yorkshire.
Meanwhile, two-time European Cup winners Forest arrive ahead of a campaign in which they will look to better last season’s 14th placed finish; a disappointing position considering the great start made by the City Ground club.
Aitor Karanka’s Boro were beaten finalists in the Championship play-offs last term and will be looking to go one better under the Spaniard who have former Rovers players George Friend and James Husband in their ranks.
Wolves narrowly missed out on the play-offs on just goal difference but manager Kenny Jackett can still rely on the goalscoring exploits of star striker Benik Afobe who plundered an astonishing 32 goals last season, alongside Bakary Sako and Nouha Dicko.
Tickets for all four friendlies will go on general sale TODAY with Season Ticket holders having two weeks to secure their seat for each fixture.
All games will be UNRESERVED seating in the South Stand and ALLOCATED seating in the East and West Stands.
