Jonson Clarke-Harris on signing for Rovers...

Jonson Clarke-Harris has stated his intention to fire Doncaster Rovers in to the play-offs and potentially the Championship.

Clarke-Harris signed on loan from Rotherham United today and has previous of scoring at the Keepmoat Stadium having netted earlier this season for Oldham Athletic in the Latics 2-0 win.

“The club are in a great position for promotion to the Championship next year and I just want to play football,” said the 20 year old.

“I got a phone call from one of the boys at Rotherham, he spoke to me about Paul Dickov and how he was keen for me to sign.

"For me it was an easy decision. It’s not too far from my house!”

Clarke-Harris’ impressive form at the start of the season prompted heavy investment from Rotherham – whom he has notched 3 goals in 15 games for – before a short stint at MK Dons.

"I want to play games so obviously for me this is great. I get to meet new people, build new connections and play football,” he said.

“The next four or five games are vital for the club. There's some tough games coming up and hopefully I can come in and make an impact to push the team over that line to secure a play-off spot.

“I can’t wait to get going and hopefully be in the team for Saturday.

“Peterborough are one of my previous teams and I’m looking to cause an upset if that’s what it takes to push my career forward and help Doncaster finish in that top six.”
