Dave Mackay has passed away, aged 80, Doncaster Rovers understands.

The club would like to go on record as sending its condolences to the friends and family of Mr Mackay.

The Scot managed Rovers during the late eighties while the club were at Belle Vue, following his reputable playing career with Heart of Midlothian, Tottenham Hotspur and Derby County.
