Jonson Clarke-Harris Signs

12 March 2015

Doncaster Rovers can confirm the signing of Rotherham United striker Jonson Clarke-Harris on loan.

Rovers have today signed Jonson Clarke-Harris on loan until the end of the season from Championship side Rotherham United.

The youngster has made twelve appearances since signing for the Millers, scoring three goals before leaving the club to join MK Dons on a short-term loan.

Jonson has been watched by Paul Dickov for some time now and is pleased that he will be with Rovers for the remainder of the season as the promotion push continues.

On signing the 20 year old Dickov said, "Jonson is a very good player and someone I've tried to sign twice before. He's strong, quick and powerful with a great eye for goal.

"He's definitely someone the fans will take to because of his pace, work rate and desire to do well. I think he'll compliment the players we've already got at the club and we're all excited for him to get going."

Clarke-Harris will go straight into the squad for this weekend’s game against Peterborough United in front of an expected crowd of 10,000+.

The striker said, "For me it was an easy decision, I want to play games and the club are in a great position to push for promotion to the Championship. I get to meet new people, build new connections and play football."

See Clarke- Harris in a Rovers shirt this Saturday for only £5 for adults and £1 for children.
