What the Papers Say

23 March 2015

A quick round up of the media reports of Saturday's 3-1 win over Coventry City.

Doncaster Free Press - ‘No regrets’ is the mantra running through Doncaster Rovers’ dressing room this season.
And there were certainly none on Saturday evening after a fine second half display saw Doncaster come from a goal down at Coventry City to keep their play-off hopes well and truly alive.
Rovers’ 3-1 win at the Ricoh Arena edged them closer to sixth spot and ended a run of four games without a win – with boss Paul Dickov also citing what he perceived as an “overreaction” after back-to-back home defeats to Peterborough and Swindon Town.

Yorkshire Post - Rovers were level five minutes after the break when Richie Wellens fought his way into the area before firing past Lee Burge.
Jonson Clarke-Harris scored at the second attempt to make it 2-1 and Harry Forrester slid in the third after a mistake by Aaron Martin.

Coventry Telegraph - City seemed devoid of inspiration as they chased an equaliser and five minutes from time their gate was sealed by another individual blunder – Martin’s attempt to shepherd the ball to safety back-firing as Main claimed the ball and teed up a simple finish for Forrester.

And how we reported it…Rovers saw out the rest of added time without incident and when the referee blew for full time the Rovers faithful erupted as Rovers come back from a goal down to win it and return to winning ways.
