On Thursday 14th May the Club will submit the retained player list to the Football League. This will enter the public domain on Monday 18th May.
As the Club look to build a “better team” for next Season Paul Dickov would like to reassure fans that the wheels are in full motion with the recruitment of playing staff for the 2015/16 season.“Over the last few days I have spoken to a number of players and their agents. 4 on Monday, 3 on Tuesday and I am due to speak to 4 today (Wednesday). I have also been across to Holland to watch a couple of players we have had our eye on for some time. I understand that fans want names and more detail than that, but we need to remain professional to ensure that we do all we can to attract our targets to this Club.
“We have an immediate focus to improve the squad and that does mean that players will leave us. We thank them and we wish them well. With that comes opportunity, and that is an opportunity for us to make our playing staff better. That’s what we all want.
"The work and due diligence has began and we are very excited at the positivity we are getting from those players that we have opened talks with. Players are keen to come here and that is great for us and our supporters to know.
“The Club is buzzing on and off the pitch right now and we are all genuinely excited about next season”.
