Young forward hails 'massive confidence boost'.Liam Mandeville spoke of his pride at receiving the Young Players’ Player of the Year award at the recent end of season ceremony.
The tireless striker picked up the accolade in front of a packed house at Keepmoat Stadium and was recognised by his peers for his string of impressive performances.
“It's very good. It’s been a good season for the team and myself and I want to continue that upward curve next year,” said the Teessider.
“When you're picked by your teammates you know that you are respected and it’s what you want, to be recognised for the way you play.”
Mandeville’s relentless nature saw him make three substitute appearances for the first team towards the back end of the season; in which he impressed.
“It’s a massive confidence boost for me,” Mandeville enthused.
“As a whole though we've had a good season domestically and in the cups and I hope that that bodes well for the future.”
