Fan Panel Update

15 November 2015

From today Doncaster Rovers are to set to change the way we communicate with our fans.

For the last few years the club have worked pro-actively with Mark Bradley of the Fan Experience Company to engage in surveys and fan panels to improve communications between our supporters and the club. These communications have then ultimately allowed our supporters to shape and improve the experience off the pitch.

The work between between the club and the supporters has led to some great successes that have resulted in some positive internal and external feedback, national PR and most importantly our supporters having a better time at the stadium.  The club will now engage on a more 1-2-1 basis with our supporters without the independent eye of Mark who now will continue his work on other projects away from Doncaster Rovers.

Over the next few weeks the club will consult with supporters for the best model of communications and will remain committed to fan engagement and improving our supporter service. The club expect to have the new project up and running for the new year.

Marketing and Communications Manager Ryan Murrant said “Even before I joined I had heard some wonderful things that this club had done off the pitch for the supporters simply by communicating with them. The club are famous for fan engagement and we all need to be proud of how far the club has come and what we have all achieved over the last few years. With Mark moving on to focus on other projects we thank him for his efforts and we wish him well. We now have a great opportunity to take what we have learnt and to take our supporter communications to the next level. Over the next few weeks myself, Gavin Baldwin and Liam Scully will sit down and consult with our supporters and look at the most productive model to develop our own ideas on driving this forward. It’s a very exciting time for the club and for the fans".

The club will communicate further over the coming weeks. For anyone wishing to suggest ideas for helping communications between the club and supporters please either contact the chairman of your supporters group or email Ryan directly at ryan.murrant@doncasterroversfc.co.uk
