Alcock Arrives On Loan

10 November 2015

Rovers snap up Blades defender on one month deal.

Doncaster Rovers have today signed defender Craig Alcock on loan from Sheffield United until 7th December 2015.

The former Peterborough United player is reunited with ex-boss Darren Ferguson who took him to London Road from Yeovil Town in July 2011.

Alcock was a virtual ever present for The Posh during his three year stay in Cambridgeshire – where he made in excess of 100 appearances and won the Football League Trophy in 2014 – before moving on a free transfer to the Blades.

A versatile and reliable operator, the 27 year old’s latest appearance at Bramall Lane was in the 3-1 defeat of Rovers and he could make his first appearance when Rovers travel to face Blackpool on Saturday.

Alcock will wear the number 38 shirt during his stay at Keepmoat Stadium.

See Craig make his home debut when Rovers face Rochdale on Saturday 21st November 2015 (3pm) at Keepmoat Stadium. Tickets for the game can be bought ONLINE HERE or by calling 01302 762576.
