Sunday service for Rovers in second round.
Doncaster Rovers can confirm that their second round FA Cup tie against Cambridge United will be played on Sunday 6th December 2015 (2pm) at Abbey Stadium.The match has been selected by the BBC for live single camera footage linking into the Sunday Final Score show.
Rovers, who defeated Stalybridge Celtic in the last round, reached a third round replay last season before succumbing to Bristol City.
It will be the South Yorkshire sides first visit to face United in over a decade when they lost 3-2 in the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy.
The U’s, who today appointed Shaun Derry as their new manager, scraped past Basingstoke in the first round but do have cup pedigree having taken Louis van Gaal’s Manchester United to a fourth round replay last season.
