PREVIEW: Lions v DRFC

26 October 2015

Tuesday 27th October 2015 (7:45pm), Sky Bet League One, The New Den.

Doncaster Rovers conclude a week on the road when they travel to the New Den to face a resurgent Millwall side who lie just three points adrift of the play-off places.

It has been a week of mixed fortunes for new boss Darren Ferguson who has seen his side snatch a late winner at Shrewsbury in midweek before crumbling to defeat at the hands of his old side Peterborough United.

If Rovers are to free themselves of the relegation zone in which they currently find themselves, then they will have to defeat the Lions on their own patch for the first time since 2008 when Sean O'Driscoll's men achieved one of the most comprehensive performances Rovers have registered in recent memory.

Two players from that 3-0 win remain at Doncaster in Richie Wellens and one of the goalscorers, James Coppinger.

Visits to South Bermondsey have not been so profitable in recent times, however, with the visitors registering one point from a possible nine.

With four defeats in six at home, though, the New Den may not be the fortress that many envisage.

TEAM NEWS: Gary MacKenzie (thigh) will miss the fixture while Keshi Anderson remains highly unlikely to feature. Nathan Tyson should shrug off a knock to face one of his former loan sides.
