BJS Storage and Distribution become the official training kit sponsor of DRFC.
A ground-breaking deal has been signed for the 2015/16 season that will see Doncaster Rovers have its first ever 'Official Training Kit Sponsor'.The agreement has been made with BJS Storage and Distribution, a local haulage company that operates nationally but is based here in Doncaster offering warehousing and pallet distribution services.
The BJS Storage and Distribution logo will adorn the back of the first team training kit, in addition to appearing in a number of other high profile areas throughout the Keepmoat Stadium and beyond.
Steve Emsley, Finance Director at BJS Storage and Distribution said: "Doncaster has been very good to us since we moved here around 10 years ago.
“We've gone from strength to strength, the size of the fleet has expanded and the warehouse we have moved in to is much bigger. Doncaster has been a great move for us and we'd just like to give a little back.
"Unlike a lot of haulage companies we offer a wider variety of services. As opposed to just general haulage we can offer pallet networking, being a very efficient way of getting small quantities from A to B anywhere in the country. We offer warehousing and a complete freight management solution."
The BJS brand will become a familiar feature on Doncaster Rovers match days with perimeter boards, big screen advertising and even the tunnel being transformed to resemble one of the BJS heavy goods vehicles.
Jon Warburton, senior commercial sales executive at Doncaster Rovers, said the partnership had great potential.
"This new agreement that has been struck with BJS will be extremely beneficial for both parties and certainly means a great deal to the club,” he said.
"The power of advertising is that you see a strong brand once and it sticks in your mind. Rovers fans will not be able to avoid the BJS branding in stadium, which will inevitably make the BJS vehicles more noticeable when travelling up and down Britain’s roads on a daily basis.
“We have been extremely creative with this deal and it is a fantastic example of the weird and wonderful ways we can work with local businesses to expose their brand to our fans.”
