Youngster heads to the east coast on loan.
Defender Ben Askins has joined Whitby Town of the Evo-Stik Northern Premier League on a one month loan deal.The youngster, who signed professional forms with Rovers in the summer of 2014, has seen his chances of first team action limited due to injury.
Nineteen year old Askins could make his Seasiders debut on Saturday at home to Nantwich Town.
Rovers, who were once taken to a FA Cup 1st round replay by Whitby during the 1986/87 season, would like to wish Ben the best of luck.
