The Club Doncaster Sports College has this week released an exceptional set of academic results for the last school year of 2014/15.

The education department offers a fantastic variety of sports courses, where students not only get to study, but also represent Doncaster Rovers and Doncaster Rugby League.

Based at the Keepmaot Stadium and taking advantage of the fantastic facilities on offer, last year’s results show how students have excelled whilst studying with Club Doncaster.

For students studying a BTEC Diploma in Sport, Club Doncaster had a 100% pass rate, 23% higher than the national average.

For students studying the Level 2 Diploma in Active Leisure, they had a 95% pass rate, 31% higher than the national average.

The Foundation also received great results from learner feedback with 98% of the students happy with their course, and 100% of the students said the teaching on the course was good.

Speaking about the results, Principal Jenna Scully said: “I’m absolutely delighted with our academic results for 2014/15, they are a real credit to both our staff and students that we have here at Club Doncaster Sports College.

“To have achieved a 100% pass rate in our BTEC Diploma in sport is an outstanding achievement for everyone involved.

“These results show, not only are we one of the best education hubs in the region, but also the whole of the country and we are leading the way in sports education.

“Not only do our students enjoy representing our two fantastic clubs involved with Club Doncaster, but they are also prepared to knuckle down to receive these outstanding results.

“The new year has just begun and it is our biggest ever as we welcome over 130 new students and I hope once again we can be celebrating similar results next year as we continue to expand.”
