Evina Eager for Luck Change

29 September 2015

Full back hoping Rovers gain rub of the green when they return home.

Cedric Evina says that he hopes Doncaster’s fortunes change when Swindon Town visit Keepmoat Stadium on Tuesday night.

The hosts are looking for their second win of the campaign and can draw within a point of the Robins with victory.

“I feel like a few of the games – Oldham and Walsall – we need that little bit of luck to come on our side and when it does I think things will be good,” said the full back.

“I think we have to get back to basics and be hard to beat again. We’ve got to make it hard for teams to score against us as a lot of the goals that we’re conceding are very easy for the other teams to score.

“We always look at the table and aren’t happy with where we are at. We want to be looking down on teams and not up at them, we want to change things as soon as possible and that starts on Tuesday.”

Rovers were left reeling after they tasted derby day defeat at the hands of Sheffield United; having had Gary MacKenzie sent off towards the end of the first half.

“It was a disappointing performance,” Evina levelled.

“As a team we weren’t happy with the way we played. We spoke about it after the game and we spoke about it in more depth this morning and looked at the clips and we want to put it right.

“We had to reshuffle (after the red card) and it basically changed the whole shape and how we had been working all week had gone out of the window and we had to deal with it.

“They (Swindon) have lost three on the bounce so its going to be a game where we both look to kickstart our season so we’re looking to the fans to keep doing what they’ve been doing and push us forward and we’ll try and reward them with three points.”
