Club Doncaster sees these staff as essential to the running of the club and as such wishes to ensure they are an integral part of the Club Doncaster family.
In order to the communication between supporters and stewards on a matchday, Supporter Liaison Officers (SLOs) are also in attendance as they act as the first point of contact for supporters.
On a matchday, SLOs attend pre match briefings with safety and stewarding team in order to enhance the working relationship for all parties and there is full two-way communication during the game should any issues arise – from crowd safety to fan enquiries.
Due to the strong relationship between stewards, SLOs and supporters, Doncaster Rovers anticipate a high number of ‘police-free’ games, thus making a significant saving on police costs.
Club Doncaster will also soon be recruiting more stewards for match day duties and the advertisement will be on our website.
