Club step in to help Knights

28 April 2016

Club Doncaster have agreed to support the Doncaster Knights as they look to gain promotion to the Aviva Premiership.

Despite not knowing which division they will compete in next season, any Championship club seeking promotion to the Premiership was required to provide evidence by the 22nd April of how they will achieve the meet the Minimum Standards Criteria (MSC) for Premiership rugby, set by the RFU and the Professional Game Board (PGB).
A stadium with capacity above 10,000 is amongst the conditions and whilst the Knights are actively working at a range of short-term solutions, there are no guarantees the works could be complete in time for the start of the season.
In support of our neighbours the Keepmoat Stadium has been made available as a temporary home venue which is anticipated to be for a maximum of 6 fixtures.

Club Doncaster look forward to supporting Doncaster Knights in the forthcoming play offs and would like to wish the Knights and their supporters all the best in their drive for promotion.
