Midfielder Richard Chaplow is hoping Doncaster Rovers can take the momentum from Saturday's win to Chesterfield on Tuesday night.Rovers are looking for back to back wins for the first time since December, looking to close the gap on the teams currently safe in the division.
Chaplow insists the team will keep going to the end and is hopeful Rovers can back up the win against Wigan with another good performance against the Spireites.
He said: "The only thing we have done so far is give ourselves a chance, Saturday was a must win game and we managed to get the win which was great for everyone, it has been a long time coming.
"I think over the past three or four performances we have played like that, but this time we have stuck the ball in the back of the net, which is an extremely important thing to do if you want to win football games.
"We've kept saying to each other throughout this whole process to keep trying to get the performances and I think we have definitely got them in the last three games.
"The win had to happen eventually, it couldn't continue, but ultimately all we did differently was take our chances.
"It goes to show we are a good team, we still believe we are and there is no point putting ourselves in the position we are in now if we don't back it up with a win on Tuesday night against Chesterfield.
"We have taken belief from the last couple of games and we have to keep building and keep going.
"Hopefully we can keep the performances going, it is down to us as a set of players to take the reins on Tuesday night and give ourselves another chance going into the remaining games.
"We have to keep believing and keep fighting until the end and we will do that as a bunch of players, that is the bare minimum.
"We will be looking to take the game to Chesterfield and be looking to dominate like we have done in the last three games."
