Donny Rover Set For Sail

21 April 2016

Last week we asked Doncaster Rovers supporters to tell us why you are #ForeverRovers

One supporter Mike Usher got in touch to tell us why he is #ForeverRovers and has recently launched his new boat the Donny Rover for sail!

Currently docked in Marbella, the name of Doncaster Rovers is being spread through Spain and Europe.

Mark is a committed Rovers supporter and has followed Doncaster for the past 52 years.

He famously enrolled his newly born son into a Doncaster Rovers supporters group when he was just four minutes old, a story which made the national press.

Speaking about the boat he said: “I’ve supported Rovers since I was seven years old and followed them avidly, I’m now 59 so it has been a long while.

“When I bought the boat I was determined to call it the Donny Rover and take Doncaster Rovers into Europe!

“I’ve had the Donny Rover since December, I had the badges specially made and it has now been launched for sail.

“It’s fantastic to use, I can’t wait to sail it in the summer, I’ve met a lot of football fans whilst it has been docked up and they think it is brilliant.”

Doncaster Rovers are in a position where we go into the remainder of this season uncertain of our divisional status for next season.

As a result, the club has taken the decision to extend the season ticket early bird deadline until 9th May in recognition of this. On 9th May the club will then communicate Season Ticket and Matchday pricing for the 2016/17 season with the divisional status at the forefront of the decisions on the new pricing structure.

Between now and the early bird deadline we are asking you, the fans, to continue sharing your favourite Doncaster Rovers memories and moments with us across social media, and what makes you #ForeverRovers.
Those that get involved and have bought a 2016/17 season ticket will be entered into a prize draw to win a variety of unique prizes, you could even get the money back on your 2016/17 season ticket.
To get involved, simply send us your favourite pictures on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram with your caption, and tell us why you are #ForeverRovers. Make sure you hashtag #ForeverRovers to ensure your memories aren’t missed!
Thank you for your fantastic and loyal support. We are all #ForeverRovers
