Trio set for bike ride to Chesterfield.
Three Doncaster Rovers supporters Louis Bailey, Andrew Sheldrake and Elliot Howard are taking part in a sponsored bike ride from the Keepmoat Stadium to the Proact Stadium. on Tuesday 19th April ahead of the South Yorkshire derby with Chesterfield.Their aim is to raise as much money as possible to help aid the recovery of one of their teammates Rob Farrow, who last weekend suffered a horrible leg break whilst playing for Beechers Brook in the Doncaster Sunday league.
The injury has left Rob looking as though he will be unable to play competitively again.
In most cases, this would be bad news, but in Rob’s case this is horrific news. As a team Beechers Brook love football and as individuals they love football, Rob lives for it.
The Club Doncaster Foundation have kindly offered bikes for the trio to use along with safety equipment for the ride.
The ride itself is a rigorous 30 mile trek which will take its toll on the trio, who are aiming to raise as much money as possible for their good friend.
Former Doncaster Rovers player, Sam Hird has kindly donated match tickets to us, and the Doncaster Rovers Supporters Club have kindly offered to bring us back to the Keepmoat Stadium afterwards.
You can donate towards the challenge at the following link: gofundme.com/tzxfwetw and any donations however small would be much appreciated for the aid of his recovery.
