The player visit was a celebration for the group upon the completion of the Look Good Feel Good course which has taken place over the last 8 weeks.
The Look Good Feel Good course is a health improvement course which focuses on providing the people with new opportunities, building on or gaining new skills, as well as helping to improve the self-confidence and independence of individuals.
On the visit Mandeville and Matthews took part in the session, taking part in a series of team building activities and a football match on the Club Doncaster Academy astro turf, giving the group a unique opportunity along with a lot of fun.
Following the outdoor activities, the group returned to the players lounge where a question and answer session was held, allowing them to get to know the Rovers duo and find out how they had got to the position they are in now.
Speaking about the day, health and well-being community officer Nick Gillott said: “This is the first time we have run the course at the Club Doncaster Foundation and it has been a tremendous success.
“We have seen a great amount of improvement in individuals as the course has progressed and it is fantastic that the Foundation is able to have such a positive influence on people’s lives in the Doncaster community.
“It was fantastic that Liam and Remi took time out of their busy schedules to come and visit the group upon their completion of the course, it was a great experience for them all and I am sure they will all remember it for a long time.”
