Doncaster Rovers are delighted to announce the designer of the new Rovers FBT home shirt for 2016/17.
Rovers fans from all walks of life and of all ages were encouraged to design and submit their shirt designs before shortlisting took place. The final five designs then went to the public vote.
The winning design received a staggering 41.4% of the votes and the winning designer was Shaun Smith, a Rovers fan for 15 years! Shaun who watches home games from the Blackbank said “I've been a Rovers fan for about 15 years now. I sit in with the Black Bank and really enjoy being a part of it. It's a massive sense of pride for me that next season the players will be walking out in my shirt at the Keepmoat every week.”
As part of the prize Shaun had the opportunity to go to Thailand courtesy of our new technical kit suppliers FBT to start the manufacturing process but due to his own work commitments his two sisters have gone instead. On the trip Shaun said "We're amazed that this has all come about. They flew out on Friday and they're really looking forward to it. My 17 year old sister has been a Rovers fan nearly all her life and it sounds like FBT are looking after them really well."
