1 August 2016

Club give four figure sum from Community Shield monies to local charity.

Doncaster Rovers have kindly donated £2000 to the Doncaster Deaf Trust.

The money, received from last seasons Community Shield Final between Arsenal and Chelsea at Wembley Stadium, has been matched by the West Riding Freemasons.

A brand new vivid touch screen LED Smart Board – a new technology to allow interactive learning in the classroom environment especially for younger children – will be purchased with the donation.
Club Director Stuart Highfield, also a member of St Nicholas Lodge of Freemasons in Thorne, presented the cheque (above) to Mr John Hope vice chair of governors of the Deaf Trust prior to the recent friendly game against Newcastle United which finished 2-2.
