Saturday 27th August 2016 (3pm), EFL SkyBet League Two, Keepmoat Stadium.
Rovers welcome Yeovil Town to South Yorkshire on Saturday, having not met their former Conference rivals for 18 months.
In the context of recent history, that’s quite an absence considering the pair met 26 times between 1998 – 2015.
The Glovers have historically had the Indian Sign over Rovers too, with 14 wins to six.
However, with back-to-back wins under their belt, Rovers look well placed to narrow the gap against the Somerset side and will aim for a third straight league win; something that has not been achieved since February 2015 when they played…Yeovil!
On that occasion, the relegation bound outfit had no answer to Paul Dickov’s men who completed a league double thanks to the goals of Nathan Tyson, Kyle Bennett and Dean Furman – this following on from a 3-0 opening day demolition (Curtis Main, Harry Forrester and Theo Robinson chipping in).
Yeovil have not won on Doncaster soil since December 2007 when current manager Darren Way put the visitors on their way to a 2-1 win over Sean O’Driscoll’s side.
TEAM NEWS: Rovers could name their first ‘unchanged’ side of the campaign after back-to-back wins and a weeks rest. They will be without Niall Mason, Tyler Garratt, Craig Alcock, Luke McCullough, Mathieu Baudry, Aaron Taylor-Sinclair, Paul Keegan and Gary McSheffrey though.
